Show Picker Club — Privacy Policy

Show Picker Club ("the app") is a small members-only TV-show tracker operated by Patrick Turner. This policy describes what information is collected, how it is used, and your choices.

What we collect

• Name, provided when an operator adds you as a member or when you sign up yourself.
• Email address and/or phone number, used to send you one-time login codes and to match your sign-in to your membership.
• Sign in with Apple / Google identifiers: if you sign in with Apple or (on the web) Google, we receive the stable account identifier and the email address the provider shares (for Apple this may be a private-relay address). We use them only to link your sign-in to your membership.
• Show data you enter: titles, lists, notes, ratings, recommendations, and similar list-related fields.
• Session activity: timestamps of logins and page loads, used only for activity metrics within the app.
• Standard server logs: IP address and request timestamps, kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

• To authenticate you when you log in (via a one-time code sent by email or SMS, or via Sign in with Apple / Google).
• To display members and their lists to other members within the club.

SMS messaging

By providing your phone number you consent to receive (1) login verification codes and (2) notifications when another member recommends or shares a show with you. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Full details on our SMS Messaging & Consent page.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can reply HELP for help, or contact us using the email below. Opting out stops both login codes and notifications; you can opt back in by replying START.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your phone number or personal information with third parties for marketing. The only third parties that handle your data are infrastructure providers required to operate the app:

• Cloudflare (hosting and database).
• Twilio (SMS delivery; phone numbers are sent to Twilio for the purpose of delivering messages).
• Resend (email delivery; email addresses are sent to Resend for the purpose of delivering login and confirmation codes).
• Apple and Google (sign-in only, if you choose those options; they verify your identity and share the identifiers described above).
• OMDB, TMDB, Watchmode (show metadata enrichment; these calls do not include your email, phone number, or other personal data).

Retention and deletion

Your account and data are retained as long as you remain a member. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the app or website (Account → Delete account): after confirming with a code emailed to your address on file, your records (member, email addresses, phone number, Apple/Google sign-in link, sessions, and show entries) are removed from the database immediately. You can also contact the operator at the email below to have your account removed.

Children

This app is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for their use.
